Here's What You Should Really Know about Acne Breakouts

Acne Breakout

What are the Causes Acne Breakouts?

This issue, or questions about acne's causes and risk factors, has recently become very common. People are looking for a response, which we will attempt to provide in this blog.
Our skin has a large number of pores, and within those pores are oil-secreting glands. Excessive water loss, unnecessary friction, and infections are all prevented by these glands. As we all know, excess of everything is bad. Similarly, when the oil secretion is produced in excess amounts, the skin pores become clogged.

Unhealthy diet and stress are wrongly accused of causing acne breakouts and have not been shown to have a direct correlation with its occurrence but indeed, this do make the acne worse though. In some studies, however, it was discovered that unregulated consumption of some dairy products can lead to acne breakouts. However, the following are some of the factors that can play a direct role in the development of acne:

 1. Hormonal alterations

Acne breakouts are most common in young boys and girls, and the cause is a simple one: an irregular increase in male hormones, especially testosterone. Testosterone causes clogging of skin pores by signaling the body to create more sebum (oil). In that area, bacteria begin to develop and cause an infection, resulting in acne breakouts.

 2. The Family's History

When a person has acne in his or her bloodstream, the likelihood of breakouts increases. In this case, abnormal oil secretion may start at a young age, even during infancy. However, it normally fades away with time or, in some situations, persists.

 3. Prescription of Such Drugs

Acne breakout is thought to be caused by the overuse of medications such as contraception, corticosteroids, and other drugs containing testosterone or lithium.

How can we prevent acne breakouts?

Acne breakouts can occur at any age, in any person, at any time, there are some habits that can help to mitigate the effects of acne and keep it on the skin.

  • Keep the skin clean by washing it with a mild soap on a regular basis to eliminate excess dirt and oil.
  • Look for cosmetics that are water-based or non-comedogenic on the bottle (non-pore-clogging).
  • If pimples appear, avoid touching or squeezing them because this would only spread the infection further.
  • Avoid scratching your face repeatedly because it increases the risk of bacterial infection and can harm your skin pores.
  • Take a food supplement that aids in hormone regulation and may also help avoid hormonal imbalance. As most cases of acne breakouts are thought to be caused by hormonal changes, this food supplement can aid in the management of acne breakouts by restoring hormonal balance.
